We spent an enjoyable boat ride cruising on the waterways in Tamarindo, Costa Rica. We saw birds, manta rays, monkeys and even a crocodile.

Our fabulous accommodation at Anaconda Lodge in Puerto Maldonado. Fun at the Butterfly Farm. The best of the rest - a boat ride up the river, sitting by the pool, hanging out in the plaza and dining on delicious Thai food courtesy of Wadee at the Anaconda Lodge.
All in all - a great family-friendly destination point. Thanks to the wonderful local nature group for kids - NaturaNinos - we have been exploring some lovely areas surrounding Cusco - usually with Emilia but sometimes with Matthew as well. Up and down valleys, around the hills, sitting by streams and under trees; this is the Cusco that everyone ought to see but in reality, they probably don't get a chance to do so.
The scenery is breathtaking and relaxing and I enjoy getting out and about away from it all. No telephones. No electronics of any kind. No unnecessary interruptions. Bliss! |
